What is the Maron 11 update? Well, it’s an update I created in celebration of the 11th anniversary of NickBerget.com, and the celebration of the 26th anniversary of Nick Berget. Today I am officially launching the Nick Blogette and “Music Is for Idiots” by Renzik in the NickBerget.com store, as well on iTunes, Google music, and Spotify in the coming weeks. This is also a big milestone in design for me, as I personally wrote most of the code for this version of the website and I hope to become completely code independent in future updates.
I have spent
days weeks months focusing on each little aspect of this website. The posts, the pages, the colors, typography, layout, transitions, animations, ease of use, etc. I’ve tried to see this site every way it can be seen, and design accordingly. I’ve done so much and yet I have so much more to do. Ideally, I’d like to see NickBerget.com function and feel more like a snappy mobile app than a website, and I’ve nearly closed the gap between my imagination and ability to make it happen.
I won’t bore you with change logs, telling you what features and benefits I added this time, but I will leave you with this. I am from Albuquerque, and so is Marc Maron. I named this update after him because I initially started this updated with the intentions of moving away from social media and broadcasting my life from my website, kind of like Marc does with his comedy podcast. Anyway, it’s loosely related at this point. Marc is doing some awesome stuff with his show “Maron” this season that tackles the subject of addiction. Watch his show and keep checking back on this website as it continues to evolve into a bigger and better thing. I’ve got some ambitious plans.
